Nasdaq uses R3’s Corda blockchain to manage digital assets

According to Coindesk, the Nasdaq Stock Exchange has partnered with blockchain alliance startup R3 to provide a digital asset market platform on the Corda blockchain. Johan Toll, director of digital assets at Nasdaq, said that capital market participants can now use Corda to support the issuance, trading, settlement and custody of digital assets. In October 2019, Nasdaq launched the top 100 cryptocurrency “Artificial Intelligence Crypto Index CIX100” created by crypto data provider CryptoCompare. In September 2019, Nasdaq added the DeFix Index (Decentralized Finance Index) to its global index data service SM (GIDS) platform, which includes real-time information on projects such as Augur and MakerDAO.
