Robinhood received $ 280 million in Series F financing, led by Sequoia Capital

San Francisco-based Robinhood, a stock and cryptocurrency trading platform, announced Monday that it has completed a $ 280 million F round of financing at a valuation of $ 8.3 billion. Sequoia Capital led the investment, and existing and new investors (including NEA, Ribbit Capital, 9Yards Capital and Unusual Ventures) all participated in this round of financing. Robinhood raised US $ 323 million in financing last summer, which brought the company’s valuation to US $ 7.6 billion. Lianwen previously quoted Bloomberg reports that in March, Robinhood was seeking a new round of financing with a valuation of approximately US $ 8 billion, and Sequoia Capital will spend approximately US $ 250 million to dominate this round of financing. Robinhood’s previous investors include GV, DST Global, Kleiner Perkins, New Enterprise Associates and Index Ventures.
