Prysmatic Labs launches testnet for the latest specification of Ethereum 2.0 Onyx

Ethereum 2.0 client execution team Prysmatic Labs launched the test network version of the latest specification for ETH 2.0-Onyx testnet. At present, Onyx testnet has a complete mainnet configuration and more than 80 contributors. The latest specification of ETH 2.0, v0.12.1, is intended to be the final specification before the mainnet starts and multiple clients are ready. The Onyx test network has now started accepting Genesis top-ups, after which it will reject Topaz validators and start sending new Genesis deposits. Lianwen previously reported that in mid-April, Prysmatic Labs announced the launch of the Topaz test network, starting the first phase of Ethereum 2.0 (Phase 0). The Topaz test network supports a comprehensive Ethereum 2.0 first-stage mainnet configuration. Verifiers must deposit at least 32 ETH in the Goerli ETH1 testnet to participate (previously the testnet Sapphire required 3.2 ETH). As of now, the test network Topaz has nearly 40,000 verification nodes, and these validators are less than 35% of the network controlled by the Prysmatic Labs team.
