Ethereum options open positions hit record highs or may be related to active trading by large holders

According to Skew data, Ethereum option open positions (OI) surged from around $120 million to around $200 million, setting a record high. Among them, the cryptocurrency derivatives exchange Deribit Ethereum options open position also hit a record high . Su Zhu, CEO of Cryptocurrency Hedge Fund Three Arrows Capital, commented that it can confirm that some of the world’s largest Ethereum holders are now active in the Deribit Ethereum options market. Lianwen mentioned in this week’s Crypto Derivatives Weekly Report that as of June 26, the open position of Ethereum options was US$112.2 million, which was nearly 30% lower than the previous day. In addition, Deribit’s open positions account for more than 96%. Although OKEx’s open positions gradually increased after going online on June 4 (the value was US$4.2 million as of the 26th), the exchange’s share was relatively small.
