Status’s Nimbus is one of the 7 clients of Ethereum 2.0. Status announced on its official blog that the Nimbus ETH2.0 beacon chain client security assessment has been officially launched. ConsenSys, NCCsecurityUS and Trail of Bits are three independent vendors. Responsible for the review and evaluation, it is planned to be completed within 4 months, and it will be carried out in three stages: network core, ETH2.0 specification core, validator core and user experience. In each stage, the supplier is responsible for evaluating specific parts of the code base, and the Nimbus team is responsible for responding to and repairing the problems found first, and then the supplier verifies. Among them, ConsenSys was selected as the leader, responsible for coordinating the task distribution and communication of the three suppliers. According to previous reports, Altona, the latest multi-client testnet for Ethereum 2.0, was officially launched at the end of June, supporting all mainstream Ethereum 2.0 clients, including Lighthouse, Nimbus, Prysm, and Teku.
