The Bank of France has selected eight financial technology companies, including Accenture, HSBC, Euroclear and Seba Bank, to participate in the central bank digital currency (CBDC) trial, aiming to seek to modernize inter-bank settlement through CBDC. In the next few days, the Bank of France will start cooperation with these financial technology companies to conduct digital euro experiments in the next few months. Chain Wen previously reported that in May, the Bank of France completed the first test of the digital euro. In the test, the Bank of France used internally developed blockchain technology to create digital securities representing the euro. Societe Generale also participated in the test.
