Fed officials: the United States needs to prepare for digital currency

According to The Block report, Robert Bench, assistant vice chairman of the Safe Payments Group of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, said that the United States currently has no plans to issue digital currencies, but the United States needs to be prepared in this regard. The Boston Federal Reserve Bank department is entirely a technical department, not a policy maker. It is currently trying to understand the use cases of central bank digital currencies in other countries.
