TransferWise, a British financial technology company that provides cross-border remittance services, completed a financing of US$319 million. After the financing, the company’s valuation will reach US$5 billion. This round of financing was led by new investor D1 Capital Partners and existing investor Lone Pine Capital. TransferWise said it serves 8 million customers worldwide and processes approximately US$5.1 billion in cross-border payments every month.
