Blockchain sports platform Chiliz has obtained an EU operating license in Estonia

Blockchain sports platform Chiliz announced that it has obtained an operating license issued by the Estonian Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), allowing it to provide virtual currency/fiat currency exchange services and wallet custody services. FIU is the agency responsible for issuing licenses for crypto companies in the country . The license (FVT000073) will take effect on July 29, 2020. The validity period is unlimited, and the license has been granted to Chiliz’s newly established Estonian entity enterprise “Socios Entertainment OU”. Chiliz will soon launch Socios.com payment cards and membership cards, and said that soon, this card will be supported by a world-leading payment provider. Chiliz has officially begun appointing former Coingaming Group payment director Jan Stupka as the new Estonian company director. Stupka has previously held senior positions in banks, insurance and well-known brands (such as CSOB Group) and leading sports betting companies GVC and Tipsport.
