Coinbase Custody becomes the largest validator operator of Tezos staking

Coinbase Custody becomes the largest Tezos staking validator operator. According to research conducted by John Dantoni of The Block, as of March 30, the company’s total XTZ staking assets exceeded 65 million. Coinbase Custody launched the staking service in April 2019, which is equivalent to more than US $ 110 million at today’s XTZ price of approximately US $ 1.67. The following XTZ staking service providers are Cokenbase, Kraken and Binance, which together constitute the “Big Three” staking exchange, accounting for 19% of the total staking XTZ. Coinbase charges up to 25% for staking XTZ fees, compared to Kraken ’s 7.25% fee, and Binance currently does not charge any fees.
