The Tezos Foundation publishes its second half of 2019 report, which summarizes the Foundation’s activities and important data from August 2019 to January 2020. Since the release of the first semi-annual report on August 9, 2019, the Foundation has issued grants totaling US $ 37.6 million to 78 new projects in 26 countries. The foundation’s funding support is mainly divided into: research, education and core development funding; ecosystem tools and application funding; community construction funding. Community funding accounted for 35% (13.2 million US dollars), research, education and core development funding accounted for 30% (11.2 million US dollars), and ecosystem tools and application funding accounted for 35% (13.2 million US dollars). Of these 78 grants, 57 (73%) were donated to organizations or individuals who have not previously received grants. On the new developer training plan, the Tezos Foundation will train 1,338 new developers in 2019, exceeding the target plan of 1,000. As of January 31, 2020, the total value of assets held by the foundation was approximately 635 million US dollars, 8 new strategic partners were added, and PwC Switzerland also completed its second independent external audit.
