About 160,000 accounts of Nintendo were illegally logged in, and the official suggest to open the double verification secret security mode

After discovering that about 160,000 player accounts were logged in without authorization, Nintendo disabled the ability to log in to Nintendo Account via Nintendo Network ID (NNID). The official said in the announcement that many players’ login IDs and passwords were “obtained by some people through illegal means”, and these people began to log in to their accounts illegally in early April. The leaked information also contains sensitive information such as account nickname, date of birth, country, and email address. At the same time, some accounts may also encounter fraudulent purchases. At present, Nintendo recommends that all users turn on the dual-authentication security mode and reset the passwords of the affected accounts that have been compromised.
